Fall means Football and Fun!

The months of October and November are probably two of my favorite months, and this year they have been extra special because of sharing them with my two favorite boys! The weeks are so busy for us, so we very much enjoy spending the weekends with each other and family.

Saturdays are obviously devoted to football, and thankfully, Noah enjoys a lil football too! But in the midst of watching our Tigers play, we have managed to throw in some other fun things too. We love going over to my parents house on the weekends to grill out and chill out! They don't mind it either. :) One Friday night, we sat outside on their back deck around the chiminea, eating gumbo that mom cooked. After eating gumbo, we made S'mores! Cory and I found these marsh-mellows at Wal-Mart called campfire Marsh-melllows and they are HUGE!!! I'll post a picture of one. So needless to say, they were some heavy duty S'mores!

The weekend of Halloween, we took Noah to the pumpkin patch to take some pictures of him. We didn't dress him up this year...maybe next year. We did buy him a shirt that said BOO on it. It was a lot cheaper than a costume :) The pictures we got of him were cute, although he kind of freezes when I really want some good pictures of him. Good thing he's cute all the time!!

Cory and I were fortunate enough for both of his parents to come see us! His dad came in October and his mom came this month, November. We had a great time with them, and so did Noah! We can't wait to see them at Christmas time!

Also this month, Lee and his wife and kids were able to come down, and we got to visit with them a lil bit. Just enough time to get some super cute pictures of the three cousins! They were too cute, and I can't wait to watch them grow up together!

It has been a great two months, and I am ready to celebrate the holidays with family! God has blessed me with and incredible family, and I am truly thankful for that!

The Past Year in a Nutshell...

After talking to my Sister-in-Law, Lindsey, I have finally committed to this blog...I hope! It just got a little overwhelming since I haven't really posted anything since January of 2009! I mean how do you re-cap 2 years of life! So this post is for trying to do that. These past two years have been two great years in my life that really can't be put into words, but I will sure try and describe them for you.

Well in the last post I wrote, which really wasn't 2 years ago, I talked about the fact that I got married in May of 2009 to Cory Chandler (hence the last name no longer being Morrow). I have thoroughly enjoyed being his wife for the past year and a half. He is an incredible husband who should get an award for putting up with me and my stubbornness :) The Lord sure knew what he was doing when he brought him to me all the way from North Carolina, and I cannot imagine life without him.

Since we have been married, Cory has been the Head Advisor of English Village at Louisiana College. That is a guy's dorm, so yes I have been surrounded by about 75 guys in our 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment. But I am not complaining, because the Lord provided for us a great place to live. Cory is also the youth minister at FBC Lecompte. It has been neat to serve at a place where my father and mother were when I was a tiny little baby. I am still teaching. I am going on my 4th year now at South Grant Elementary. 6th grade is what I teach and I love it. I have the greatest co-workers and students that make my job easy.

As I am typing this, I am watching my six month old try to crawl...yep that's right, we have a 6 month old! On May 25, 2010, Noah Lee Chandler was born into our family! All 9 lbs. 7 oz. and 23 in. of him! (I was a BIG MAMA!!) Needless to say, it was a great 1 year anniversary present for Cory and me! :) He has blessed our cotton socks off, as my mother would say. I honestly did not know it was possible to love this much. Cory and I have very much enjoyed having a son, and he has made it easy for us for sure!

So that's pretty much it! the highlights of the past two years.Thank you Lord for the sweet blessing in my life! Now the next post will be a lil more recent and up to date...I promise!

LOTS of catching up to do!

As you can probably see from my last post, it has been a while since I have even looked at this blog. So I decided it was time to do a little refreshing and catch everybody up since the last post. With a little help from my friend KB, we give the blog a slight face-lift, and I had to make some pretty important changes. Instead of this being just Amy Sue's blog, it is now the Chandler's blog. Pretty big change, but it had to be done because yep....I'm now married to the wonderful Cory Lee Chandler! This is a good change that I didn't mind making on the blog page. Next to my slavation, he is the best and most important change that has happened in my life thus far. Words cannot explain the love I have for him, and I very much enjoy living life with him! But I will get into all that in another post. My plan is to, post by post, update you on what had happend in my life in the past year and a half. Gosh I have lots to write, but at the time, I have lots of time on my hands (you will find out why in a soon to come post) :) This truly is my best effort of keeping friends and family updated on the life of the Chndlers, so I hope yall enjoy!!

JUST A BIG FAT YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has been a while updating this blog...but life ahs been crazy and interesting since the last time I did this blog thing :) I'm pretty much getting MARRIED!!!! Yep...I was asked by Cory Lee Chandler to be his wife on Decemeber 25, 2008! And here is how he did it....

SO, as you all know, Cory is from North Carolina. He decieded that he was going to spend Christmas with his family this year because he ahrdly ever gets to see them. I completely understood, but I was a lil (ok maybe alot) sad that I wouldn't be able to sepnd our first Christmas together. So he left on the 19th of Decemeber and I cried but I knew that I would be seeing him on the 29th beacuse I was flying out there to be with him and his family after Christmas. Until then I enjoyed the holidays with just me and the fam, which was nice.

Well, Christmas day came and I woke up with a sweet phone call from Cory wishing me a Merry Christmas, and of course I cried, but mom and dad were great with making me feel better. Lee and Lindsey were coming in that day, so that made me happy too! It ended up being a great day with lots of food, and then my favorite part...the presents! We never open presents at night, but this year we did. The anticipation just killed me all day! I love opening presents! Lee seemed excited about it too! LOL

So we sit down, and Lee started to hand out the presents to each person (he was Santa this year) He brought the first present to me. It was a red bag, and Lee told me it was from Cory. He said he wanted me to have something since he wasn't here. When I opened it, there was a DVD in it and a card. Lee said "Let's put it in!" So we did, and immediately I start crying. It was a DVD with pictures of us from all throughout the year. And in the background was my favorite song, "Pour My Love on You" by Phillips, Craig, and Dean. I thought it was increidbly sweet and was BALLING my eyes out! I was thinking that GOSh he did such a good job!

Then....at the end of it a blank slide came up, and the doorbell rang....the next slide said I believe that's for you. So, very confused...I sit there and then get up to check the back door. Nobody was there...so I sat down and looked at my family. They weren't saying a thing. The dorbell rang about three more times and so I checked the front door. When I got the the door, I saw the side of CORY!!!!! I was so excited that he had surprised me for Christmas! ...and THEN oh my goodness when I opened the door he got down on one knee.....and ASKED.....WILL YOU MARRY ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I freaked out.....and all I wanted was to hug him! Finally I said YES!!!! And finally looked at the ring! GOURGEOUS!!!!!!!!! The family then all came outside with the cameras, and we were all freaking out! It was truly the best night of my life!!! GOOD JOB CORY!!

We are getting married on May 9th, 2009 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church! Thank you Lord!

FALL....my favorite time of the year!!!

Fall is without a question the absolute best time of the year! 3 reasons why... 1st- much needed cool weather, 2nd- the colors of the trees/ smell of old leaves burning, and 3rd- FOOTBALL SEASON!!! I love it when I can wear jeans and a long sleave shirt, or hoodies, or cute sweaters. I get tired of summer clothes, and fall comes just in time for a much needed change. I LOVE to work in the yard and make burn piles simply because I love the smell. There is just something comforting about that smell..wierd huh? But most of all saturdays in Fall are devoted to Football, whether I am at a game or relaxing on my couch watching the game. (I'm only relaxing if I'm not watching my LSU Tigers) This season has been a dissapointment, but I'm confident that we will get a quarterback soon who can get the job done!

Cory and I got to go to his 1st ever LSU game back in October. It was tons of fun, and we won! Here are a few pics from the day...

Not a Fan of Band Wagons!...oh well :)

If you know me, I am a pretty hard headed independant girl....which means I really have to be convinced to do something before I finally give in! This blog would be one of those times where I finally gave in. I will admit that about 6 or more months ago I didn't even know what a blog was, for which I was chastised by my friend, sweet Elizabeth :) After reading her blog, my friend KB's blog, and many other friend's blogs I decided that I too need to share my wonderful, crazy, too busy life with others! So I hope I do this right and that you enjoy, while learning a little bit about me! So move over on that band wagon and make room for me!!
